Frequently Asked Questions

To access Parent Portal to check grades, report cards, absences, etc.  Please use this link.  If you are having trouble logging in, please contact our Data Analyst, Tiffany Walters via email at tiffany.walters@obcityschools.org.

Please limit changes in transportation the first few weeks if at all possible.  Please send a note in your child's folder or call the front office to make transportation changes. Please do not email your child’s teacher because they may not see it while they are teaching. For questions regarding transportation, please email Josh Burleson at josh.burleson@obcityschools.org.

The doors will open at 7:15 each morning.  Please do not drop your child off before then. Please be sure children are ready to get out of the car as soon as the car comes to a stop in the carline. It's like Disney World...prepare to disembark the vehicle!  For safety purposes, please have them exit the car on the passenger side. Also, please make sure you are following the procedures of the carline so that we can keep everyone safe. It is extremely important to not be on your cell phone while in the carline.

If your child is a car rider in the afternoon, please make sure the car tag is visible. If you do not have a car tag, you will be asked to go to the front office to verify your identity by showing your license.  Please know that student safety is our first priority. 

Please create an account on MySchoolBucks.  This site (or app) will allow you to pay fees, add money for cafeteria charges, order school merchandise, and other various tasks.  Click HERE to go directly to the website. 

OBES Uniform Guidelines

Visitors are now able to join us for lunch! Lunch visitors are restricted until after Labor Day each year.  This gives students time to learn the routines and will make the separation from lunch visitors a little easier for our younger ones.

Special birthday snacks are allowed!  However, please adhere to the following guidelines as you prepare for the special day:

• Treats must be store-bought.
• All food should be in individual servings, please don't send whole cakes or anything that must be cut and served.
• All birthday treats should be dropped off in the front office.
